A multi-element aluminum-bronze alloy was prepared by adding some elements(Ni、Fe)into the Cu-Al based alloy in permanent mold casting.Effects of solid solution treatment on corrosion behavior of the Cu alloy prepared were investigated with the help of weight-loss tests
SEM(scanning electron microscope)
EDS(energy dispersedly spectrometer)and XRD(X-ray diffraction).The results show that the dealuminzation corrosion is dominant in the 3.5% NaCl solution with corrosion rate of 0.029 5 g/(m2·h)and self-corrosion potential of-322mV
while the microstructure of the alloy prepared is composed mainly ofα、β’、γ2and k phases after solid solution treatment(950℃for 2hand aging at 550 ℃for 4h)
and its corrosion rate is 0.022 6g/(m2·h)with self-corrosion potential of-236mV
exhibiting a satisfied corrosion resistance.
