Semi-solid melt of A356 aluminum alloy was prepared by a inclined slope method
and rheological filling behavior of the semi-solid melt prepared was tested by Archimedean spiral experiments mold under pressure. The results show that with the increase of filling pressure and pouring temperature
the rheological filling capacity of the semi-solid melt prepared in condition of pressure is increased
and pouring temperature is dominant in affecting filling behavior of the semi-solid melt prepared. With filling speed in range of 142~427 mm/s
the rheological filling capacity is increased with increasing in filling speed. Influence of filling pressure on the rheological filling capacity can be described as linear increment function.
