Effects of heat treatment on a new semi-solid forming hypereutectic Al-Si alloy were investigated.The theoretical solidus-liquidus phase of the alloy was presented through the Thermo-Calc software calculating the diagram of the alloy to guide the heat treatment process.The twelve processes were provided including four solution temperatures(480
