Fracture morphology and microstructure of ZL102 alloy polishing machine buckle was observed and analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and metallurgical microscope.The results show that microstructure of the ring sample is composed of α-Al phase
coarse acicular eutectic Si phase and blocky primary Si phase as well as a small amount of skeleton-like shape the T1(Al7Fe2Si2) and the fine needle-T2(Al5FeSi) iron-rich phase.Different cleavage facets with different orientation can be observed in alloy fracture surface
and the crack occurs as a result of transgranular cleavage fracture
which is characterized by ray florets and cleavage steps.The excessive brittle iron-rich phase
casting porosity and inclusions can weaken the binding force of the grain boundary
