Abstract
The compound refining treatment of self-developed Al-TiC grain refiner and Al-5Ti-B master alloy on the Al-7Si-Mg alloy was performed to investigate the effects of composite refining process on the grain size and mechanical properties of Al-7Si-Mg.The results show that the grain size of Al-7Si-Mg alloy refined by composite refining process is 66.5% of that refined by 2% Al-5Ti-B.Compared with those of Al-7Si-Mg alloy refined by 2% Al-5Ti-B
the tensile strength of the Al-7Si-Mg alloy refined by composite refining process is increased by 13.88% and 4.96%
