The effects of rolling process on the microstructure and mechanical property of Al-Mg-Si alloy sheet were investigated by the microstructure observation
strength
elongation and hardness properties tests
and the strengthening mechanism of the alloy was discussed. The results show that the microstructure and mechanical properties of the Al-Mg-Si alloy sheet are changed significantly by different rolling process.Under the same total deformation conditions
the tensile strength
yield strength
elongation and hardness of rolling third state and second state are significantly better than those of the rolling first state. In the three kinds of rolling process
rolling third state plate has the best comprehensive mechanical property
where the tensile strength
yield strength
elongation and hardness reach 398.4 MPa
325.8MPa
20%and 112.0
respectively. The strengthening mechanism of rolling third state alloy is characterized by the interaction of deformation strengthening
grain refinement strengthening and second phase strengthening.
