Because the application of electric pulse inoculation treatment can greatly improve the formation of GP Ⅰ zone of Al-Cu alloy and thus result in the marked improvement in properties of alloy

it is necessary to investigate influence of electric pulse inoculation treatment on GP Ⅰ zone of Al-Cu alloy. Based on the empirical electron theory of solids and molecules （EET）

the formation models of GP Ⅰ zones were built for the Al-Cu alloys which were subjected and not subjected to electric pulse inoculation treatment

and the statistical values of valence electron structure parameters for melts and supersaturated solid solution of Al-Cu alloy were calculated. As a result

the influence of electric pulse inoculation treatment on GP Ⅰ zone of Al-Cu alloy was described at the electron structure level

providing the theory basis for the extensive use of electric pulse inoculation treatment into the aging treatment of Al-Cu.
