Zhao Yunhu. Effect of Be on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Cast Mg Alloy[J]. Special Casting & Nonferrous Alloys, 2000,(3):10-12. DOI: 10.15980/j.tzzz.2000.03.004.
Variation law of microstructure and mechanical properties of Be added cast Mg alloy is studied. Be addition has some effect on γ phase modification. Form and distribution of γ phase varied with Be content variation. Ambient tensile strength and elongation of alloy decreased with low Be addition while Be addition reached some degree
these properties index will increase. But it decreased with continuously adding Be. Variation law of the tensile strength and elongation at high temperature is as same as that of those properties at room temperature. Be addition has slight effect on the micro-hardness of α -Mg matrix.
