The effects of casting process parameters on transformational behavior of primary nondendrite phase and solidification process of ZA27 alloy in stirring are investigated under transient condition. The results show that primary phase in solidification structure evolves into near-spherical fine particles by constant electro-magnetic stirring
and main mechanical properties are similar to those alloys inoculated with Ti-B; with a larger secondary cooling rate
the peritectic reaction decreases and the primary non-dendrite and non-equilibrium eutectic structure increases. It is also found that temperature and stirring rate can control the fraction and distribution of primary phase in ZA27 semi-solid slurry. With the increase of stirring rate or time
