Cu-Cr-Te and Cu-Cr-Te-Y alloys were prepared by vacuum induction melting. The effects of chromium and rare earth yttrium addition on the microstructure and properties of as-cast Cu-Te alloys were investigated. The results indicate that the microstructure of Cu-Cr-Te alloy is composed of Cu matrix

/TeY dense phase appears in the microstructure after Y addition. The tensile strength and hardness of Cu-Cr-Te alloy present an upward trend with the increase of Cr content
while the conductivity and elongation are decreased. After Y addition
the structure is compact with finer grain size and clear grain boundary. The tensile strength of Cu-0.7 Cr-0.5 Te-0.3 Y alloy is 235 MPa
