Finite element method was adopted to simulate and calculate the electromagnetic field during the double-zone induction heating process of directional solidification by HRS method

and the influence of power parameters and structural parameters on the magnetic field distribution characteristics was investigated. The results indicate that the magnetic field in the graphite heating unit is unevenly distributed during the double-zone induction heating process

and the magnetic field intensity inside the insulation baffle is the lowest. As the current intensity decreases and the power frequency increases

the internal magnetic field intensity in the insulation package is decreased. With the increase of conductivity and thickness of the graphite heating unit

the internal magnetic field intensity is decreased. As the height of the graphite tube increases

the internal magnetic field intensity is increased. In addition

the existence of the short circuit ring reduces the internal magnetic field intensity of the insulation package.
