Through structure analysis of body and cover of gearbox
all-metal mold gravity casting process was selected to determine the appropriate process and metal mold parameters based on riser design theory of “shrinkage pipe method” and metal mold design theory of “temperature equalization method”. In view of the problems existing in the design and production of gearbox castings
solutions were put forward to realize the normal production of castings. Compared with sand mold casting and metal mold casting with sand core
all-metal mold casting has superior advantages for thin-wall aluminum alloy castings.
