The internal radial deformation of injection mechanism can induce the fit clearance change between the punch and the pressure chamber
which is the main reason for the failure of the injection mechanism. Taking 1 250 kN hot chamber die casting machine as the research object
the thermal deformation and thermal coupling analysis during the injection process were verified comparatively based on the liquid-solid coupling. The results indicate that the heat generated by metal solution is transferred to the pressure chamber and gooseneck pot of the injection mechanism
which causes internal radial deformation
leading to the failure of the injection mechanism. On this basis
the structural optimization design was carried out
and the deformation and weight of the optimized injection mechanism were improved.
