Graphene/6063 aluminum matrix composite ingots with high thermal conductivity were prepared by mixing powder ball milling
pressing prefabricated blocks and melt casting. The composition
microstructure and defects of the composites were characterized by scanning electron microscopy
spark direct reading spectroscopy
X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy
and the effects of graphene addition on the conductivity and thermal conductivity of the composites were analyzed. The results indicate that graphene can be fused into the aluminum matrix with a uniform distribution
and the electric conductivity and thermal conductivity are improved significantly. The thermal conductivity of 0.5 Gr/6063 composite is increased to 226.11 W/(m·K)
and the electrical conductivity is increased to 32.34 MS/m
