The solidification structure and properties of Cu-1.7 Ni-0.2 Co-xBe alloy with low beryllium addition were investigated by OM
XRD
SEM
universal tensile testing machine and conductivity measurement instrument. The results indicate that when the addition of Be is in the range of 0.4%~0.7%
the macrostructure of the alloy is refined with the increase of Be addition
and the secondary dendrite arm spacing is decreased continuously from 31.85 μm to 16.58 μm. The tensile strength of the alloy is increased at first and then decreased
which reaches the maximum of 490.4 MPa with the 0.5% addition of Be
and the elongation is increased gradually. The conductivity of the alloy is decreased at first and then increased
which reaches the minimum value of 18.792 MS/m when the addition of Be is 0.5%. BeNi phase can be observed in the alloy when the addition of Be is more than 0.5%.
