The centrifugal casting process of super cylinder liner was modeled in segments using ProCAST software
and the temperature field
flow field and pressure field of the casting were coupling calculated. The results indicate that the metal liquid fills the mold in the form of laminar flow
and the filling time is 90.3 s. The castings are solidified from the outside to the inside layer by layer
and the final solidification is located in the middle of the thick wall end of the casting. The pressure field is concentric distribution
and the size is related to the diameter of the inner hole of the mold
the wall thickness of the casting and the centrifugal speed. The changes of fields above are mainly induced by the centrifugal force
the gravity of the metal liquid
and the strong cooling coupling of the cylinder liner mold.
