Comparing to slurry prepared ordinary 830 silica sol and the production of castings
SKP27-3 surface layer silica sol has higher stability
excellent coating properties and insensitivity to drying conditions
of which the performance and effect. After verification of batch production of castings
the stability of slurry prepared with SKP27-3 surface layer silica sol reach up to 62 days. The cavity surface of the prepared shell is smooth and dense
and the one-time yield rate is greatly improved. The statistical defect rate of batch production casting is below 4.45%
and the casting repair rate is greatly reduced
while the casting defect rate of 830 silica sol is higher than 11.72%
indicating that SKP27-3 surface layer silica sol has a high advantage.
