The effects of different heat treatment conditions on the mechanical properties of aluminum alloy AlSi10 MnMg structural parts were investigated under high vacuum die-casting. The contribution of various factors on mechanical properties in the heat treatment process was analyzed. The results show that the mechanical properties of the parts at different positions are different on the same heat treatment conditions
and the mechanical properties of the parts near the inner gate are superior to those at the end position. After T6 heat treatment
a lower solution temperature and a longer artificial aging time contribute to desirable properties. In addition
a small amount of pores still exist in the high vacuum die castings
and shrinkage and cavities are also found in the thick areas of the castings.
