Taking the Be-Al alloy bracket of a certain aerospace satellite as the research object
the precision casting process was designed. The filling and solidification process of the casting was simulated by CAE software to predict the shrinkage cavity and shrinkage defect area
and the origination of the defects were analyzed. By adding air duct and setting up local feeding passage
controlling the preheating temperature and pouring temperature of the shell
cracks and cold insulation defects can be eliminated and the shrinkage defects can be reduced. The results indicate that when the preheating temperature of the shell is 775 ℃ and the pouring temperature is 1 300 ℃
the quality of the castings is desirable with absence of obvious defects. The tensile strength
yield strength and elongation of the castings in as-cast state are 248.6 MPa
