By designing a vacuum extraction system with main and secondary exhaust pipes
and combining with the Flow-3 D simulation software
the vacuum die casting of magnesium alloy radiator was carried out. The results show that the vacuum die casting of magnesium alloy with complete appearance and compact structure can be obtained by using the vacuum pumping system. By adjusting the position of the inductor
different cavity vacuum degrees can be achieved. The filling capacity of magnesium alloy can be improved effectively by increasing the vacuum degree of mold cavity
and the porosity or shrinkage defects in die castings can be eliminated.When the cavity vacuum is 10 kPa
the air volume of the magnesium alloy radiator die casting is the least
and the tensile strength and elongation of the die casting are improved correspondingly.
