As-cast Cr17 stainless steel containing niobium was homogenized and annealed at 1 100 ℃ for 2 h.After water quenching at 1 000
1 050 and 1 100 ℃ for 30 min
solution treatment was carried out. Some specimens were aged at 700 ℃ for 1 h. The microstructure
hardness and mechanical properties of the as-cast Cr17 stainless steel were analyzed
and the optimal scheme was selected to investigate microstructure evolution. The results reveal that the comprehensive properties at 1 050 ℃ are desirable. The microstructure of solution treated steel containing niobiumis is composed of ferrite and trace TiN. After aging treatment
σ phase is precipitated and the content carbide is decreased.
