microstructure and heat storage properties were investigated. The results show that the all alloys consist of Mg
5
Ga
2
Al
12
Mg
17
and α-Mg phases
and have high latent heat of phase transition
of which the temperature are in the range of middle temperature thermal energy storage(90~400 ℃). The Mg-19 Al-24 Ga alloy has the lowest phase transition temperature and the highest latent heat
which are 373.67 ℃ and 172.70 J·g
-1
respectively. Therefore
Mg-19 Al-24 Ga alloy can be a good phase transition material for middle temperature heat storage.
