The effects of annealing temperature on microstructure

mechanical properties and electrical conductivity of the 0.2 Al

2

O

3

/Cu dispersion strengthened copper alloy bars were investigated by means of scanning electron microscope

X-ray diffraction and mechanics tester. The results indicate that no obvious change is observed in the fiber structure of the annealed alloy specimens. With the increase of annealing temperature

the proportion of cube {001}

<

100

and brass {011}

<

211

>

texture is increased

and the goss {011}

<

100

>

texture is gradually decreased. The small-angle grain boundaries in the alloy are increased to varying degrees

while thelarge-angle grain boundaries are decreased slightly

which are mainly distributed in the range of 50°～60° misorientation. The micro hardness

tensile strength and yield strength of the alloy are decreased from 150 HV

551 MPa and 539 MPa to 121 HV

378 MPa and 323 MPa

respectively

while the elongation is increased from 9.6% to 15.9%

and the conductivity is increased from 52.316 MS/m to 54.520 MS/m

which is increased by 0.464～2.204 MS/m.
