The influence of lanthanum oxide contents on the properties of barium zirconate based ceramic cores were investigated by adjusting addition of lanthanum oxide. The results indicate that as the addition of lanthanum oxide increases
the linear shrinkage and bulk density of the core specimens are gradually decreased
and the apparent porosity is gradually increased
meanwhile the bending strength is gradually declined
and the high temperature deflection is firstly decreased and then increased. When the content of lanthanum oxide is 5%
the core specimens have an excellent high temperature deformation resistance with sufficient bending strength.
