High quality aluminum alloy melt is the premise for producing aluminum castings with high performance. In view of the difficulty to obtain graphite impeller with small nozzles by traditional process technology
an innovative idea was proposed. By combining selective laser melting technology and graphite preparation technique
a novel porous carbon-graphite material with excellent mechanical properties and porous structure was developed. The research progress in the porous carbon-graphite material in aspects of framework preparation and synthesis method were reviewed
and the feasibility of the novel idea was demonstrated
providing reference for developing subsequent new type novel graphite impeller.
