Aluminum based materials have been paid more attention due to the light weight
good electrical conductivity and other unique advantages. However
the low strength and poor wear resistance limits its application. The research progress of different methods to improve the strength
wear resistance and electrical conductivity of aluminum matrix materials was summarized comparatively. The research and application of aluminum matrix composites at home and abroad were introduced
and the development trend was prospected.
