The detection ability of film hole microcracks by microfocus X-ray imaging method was analyzed for turbine blade machined with artificial simulated defects and turbine guide blade with microcracks. The actual size of artificial simulated defects in turbine blade was calibrated by optical microscope
and seven artificial simulated defects in turbine blade can be effectively detected by the microfocus X-ray imaging method. In addition
the size of artificial simulated defects was measured
and the size measurement results of artificial simulated defects are consistent with the calibration ones. In addition
the microfocus X-ray imaging experiment was designed for turbine guide blade
and the microcracks with length of 392 μm and width of 21 μm in the trailing edge of the turbine guide blade was detected by the microfocus amplification imaging method. The results show that the microfocus imaging method can meet the needs of engineering detection of microcracks in the film hole.
