The interfacial heat transfer coefficient(IHTC) is one of the boundary condition for the preprocess of casting numerical simulation
which has an important effect on the calculation accuracy of the temperature field during solidification process. The IHTCs between the K4169 alloy and ceramic shell mold were obtained through ProCAST inverse module and the temperature measured from various positions with different thicknesses of the specimens
which was applied to the numerical simulation. The results indicate that the error between calculated and measured temperature is within 3%.
