Based on the analysis of the structural characteristics and technical difficulties of a kind of complex thinwalled GW63 K magnesium alloy cylindrical casting
the casting technology of composite casting mold was analyzed.According to the part structure
the casting technology with composite casting mold based on different sand molds was designed
and ProCAST software was used for simulation analysis.According to the simulated results
the casting technology was optimized to finally achieve sequential solidification.The results show that the internal quality of the castings under composite casting mold casting technology meets the requirements of classⅠin HB7780-2005
and the mechanical properties of the castings at T6 state reach more than 280 MPa and 3%.
