The WE43 magnesium alloy was prepared by low-pressure die casting.The microstructure of WE43 magnesium alloy before and after heat treatment was observed by optical microscope
scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive spectroscopy.The effects of heat treatment process on mechanical properties of WE43 alloy were also analyzed.The results show that the as-cast microstructure of the alloy is composed of primaryα-Mg and eutectic phase with Mg

.With the heat treatment of 520℃×10 h+225℃×14 h
the microstructure of the alloy is composed of primaryα-Mg
cluster of square phase
residual eutectic phase with Mg

and aging precipitation phase.By heat treatment
the tensile strength and yield strength of the alloy are increased to305.9 MPa and 191.8 MPa
