The AlSiMgMnCr alloy with different Cr contents was perpared by high vacuum die casting.The microstructure and precipitated phase of the alloy were investigated by SEM and TEM.The area fraction and equivalent diameter of iron phase in the alloy with different Cr content were calculated.The results reveal that with the increase of Cr content
the yield strength of the T6 state alloy is increased and the tensile strength keeps stable
while the elongation is decreased significantly.With the increase of Cr element
the area fraction and equivalent diameter of iron phase in aluminum matrix are increased.Cr element was added into the alloy to form the precipitated phase containing Cr
which inhibited the growth ofβ″phase in the aging stage
and the uniformity ofβ″phase in aluminum matrix was decreased.
