The structure transformation of DD9 nickel-based single crystal superalloy and formation mechanism of the incipient melting structures during homogenization were investigated.The results indicate that there are two types of incipient melting structures:irregular one caused by meltedγ/γ′eutectic and regular one caused by melted homogenization pore.Due to the generation of incipient melting structures
which reduces the high-temperature performances of castings
the rupture life of specimen at 1 100 ℃ and 137 MPa is decreased by 35 h.Both structures can be avoided by increasing holding time at lower temperature and promoting the diffusion of elements.
