The effects of process parameters on the solidification structure of cast rolled brass strip were investigated by CAFE module of ProCAST finite element software.The microstructure
hardness and mechanical properties of brass strip prepared by twin roll casting based on the self-developed rolling machine were analyzed.The results reveal that the process parameters affect the size and reduction rate of columnar grains by affecting the height of the Kiss point.The higher the Kiss point and the greater the reduction rate is
the larger the columnar grain growth space and the grain size is.By adjusting the nucleation parameters
a larger reduction amount and fine solidification structure can be obtained
which can improve the quality of the strip.The elongation of cast rolled brass strip can reach 33%
the tensile strength is 430 MPa
and the hardness is 140 HV.The elongation
the tensile strength and the hardness of annealed brass strip are 55%
