High-entropy alloys(HEAs) have aroused extensive attention because of the excellent mechanical properties
heat resistance and corrosion resistance. Arc smelting
as the main process in the traditional preparation
has the problems such as single shape
limited size and easy segregation
which limits the theoretical research and industrial manufacturing applications of high-entropy alloys. However
the additive manufacturing technology can realize the rapid melting and solidification of high-entropy alloys with complex structure and larger sizes by the input of high energy density. The research on the preparation of high-entropy alloys by additive manufacturing technology in recent years was reviewed in detail
focusing on the structural evolution
heat resistance
corrosion resistance
mechanical properties and composition design of high-entropy alloys by additive manufacturing technology at home and abroad. The research progress in additive manufacturing high-entropy alloy in recent years and the characteristics of various high-entropy alloy preparation methods were summarized
and the prospective development direction of additive manufacturing high-entropy alloy was discussed.
