Numerical simulation technology was used to analyze the extrusion load
temperature field
equivalent strain field and microstructure of TC4 titanium alloy in the process of equal channel angular pressing at different conditions. The results show that with the increase of extrusion temperature
the plasiticity of the TC4 alloy is increased
while the deformation difficulty and the load required for extrusion are reduced. In the process of extrusion speed increasing
the variation of maximum equivalent strain value becomes more sensitive
which is decreased fast with the increase of extrusion speed. Through multi pass extrusion deformation
the maximum equivalent strain is even multiplied
and the accumulated plastic deformation of the specimens is increased
with the significant grain refinement effect. Overall
the grain refining effect is optimized under the extrusion temperature of 350 ℃
extrusion rate of 4 passes and extrusion speed of 0.5 mm/s.
