Abstract

The application technology of ceramic core in superalloy precision casting process was described.The factors influencing the design of ceramic core structure and entering inspection items were discussed by means of computer simulation.Characteristics of ceramic core stress and deformation during wax injection were predicted.The bending strength of the ceramic core in various processes of investment casting was measured

and the overall dimensional change of the ceramic core in the residual wax burning and casting process was investigated

which provided a complete method of correctly employing ceramic core in investment casting process and revealed the "black box" of ceramic cores as well.
