The lost foam casting（LFC） process was used to prepare the solid-liquid compound of Al/Mg bimetal with a Ni coating on the surface of A536 aluminium alloy prepared by plasma spraying technology

and the effects of pouring temperature and Ni coating on interfacial microstructure of Al/Mg bimetal were investigated with the help of scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrometer. The results reveal that the interface layer thickness of the Al/Mg bimetal with Ni coating is less than that of one without a Ni coating under the same conditions

and the compositions of the interface layer of the Al/Mg bimetal with Ni coating are also different from that of one without Ni coating. The pouring temperature also has a prominent influence on the interfacial microstructure and compositions of the Al/Mg bimetal with Ni coating. The thickness of interface layer is increased with the increase of the pouring temperature

and a acceptable interfacial microstructure can be obtained at 730 ℃.
