In the experiment of the effects of the particle size of quartz powder on the performance of coatings

the mixture of quartz powder with different particle size was used as refractory aggregate

sodium bentonite and CMC as suspension agent

starch aqueous solution and water glass as binder and water as carrier.Four key performances were selected for orthogonal experiment by single variable experiment.Orthogonal experiments were carried out on four factors and four levels by mixing four aggregates with different particle sizes and adding four different additions.The range method was used to analyze influence of various factors on the performance of coatings

and a group of combinations with the satisfied comprehensive performance were presented

and the performance of the combinations was analyzed.The results reveal that when the content of refractory aggregate is80% of 240 mesh

80% of 270 mesh

80% of 300 mesh

20% of 320 mesh

the comprehensive performance of quartz powder coating presents desirable.
