The wettability of metal/ceramic systems is one of the decisive factors in the structure and properties of cermets. Based on the classification of wettability of cermet system
the factors affecting the wettability of the system were described. The wettability of cermet systems is divided into non-reactive wetting and reactive wetting
wherein reactive wetting is further divided into redox and wet wetting. The factors affecting the wettability of cermet system are mainly the surface roughness and grain orientation of the ceramic substrate
the protective atmosphere
the alloying element content
the holding temperature and the ceramic matrix processing method.
