A two-dimensional steady laminar flow model was established by using Fluent software. The casting-rolling simulation of copper-aluminium clad plates with different thickness was carried out by choosing blank traveling speed of 0.5 m/min and pouring temperature of 973 K. The results show that with a given thickness of the aluminium layer

the temperature at the exit of the casting-rolling zone and the ratio of liquid cavity depth are increased with the decrease of the thickness of the copper layer. With a given thickness of the copper layer

the temperature at the exit of the casting-rolling zone and the ratio of liquid cavity depth are decreased with the decrease of the thickness of the aluminum layer. The casting-rolling process was carried out with Cu layer thickness of 8 mm and aluminum layer thickness of 2 mm. The interface scanning and energy spectrum analysis was carried out by SEM and EDS. The casting-rolling composite mechanism of copper-aluminium composite plate was expounded.
