Laser remelting is a surface modification technology that continuously scans the surface of the alloy with a high-energy laser beam
and the process of laser remelting is rapid heating then followed by rapid cooling.It can improve the surface wear resistance and corrosion resistance by refining the microstructure
reducing segregation and forming supersaturated solid solution.The influence of temperature field on the morphology evolution of molten pool and the solidification mechanism of remelted layer were described
and the research progress in laser remelting surface strengthening technology in improving the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of alloys was expounded.Finally
the practical application of laser remelting surface modification technology was prospected.
