A new meshless method SPH(Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics
SPH)was introduced.The SPH method can discretize the problem domain into a series of particles to avoid the decrease in calculation accuracy due to the division of the mesh.A mathematical model and SPH program were adopted to simulate and analyze the crack initiation and propagation of AZ31 magnesium alloy during ECAP process at high extrusion speeds.The simulated results were compared with the finite element simulation and experimental ones to verify the validity and feasibility of the SPH program.
