With the help of indirect squeezing casting and horizontal TRD-800 Tsqueezing casting machine

effects of squeezing casting parameters on microstructure and properties of automobile control arm were investigated.The results reveal that at a certain range

with the increase of specific pressure

the mechanical properties of the control arm are improved

however

with specific pressure more than140 MPa

improvement of the properties can be ignored.The lower specific pressure is beneficial for improving the macro-defects in the control arm.While the higher specific pressure can increase the solidified velocity of the aluminum alloy melt to refine greatly microstructure.At specific pressure of 140 MPa

the average tensile strength and elongation

hardness of the control arm reach 354 MPa

11%and112（HB）

respectively.Meanwhile

internal quality of the squeezing control arm presents desirable with absence of shrinkage porosity（hole）

crack

inclusions.
