The gravity filling process of the ZL205 Aframe casting was conducted by analyzing the structure and process characteristics
and the distribution of solidification temperature and shrinkage under two gravity filling process was simulated by the HUAZHU CAE software.The structure design optimization of the internal injection gating system was obtained through the process analysis of the origination of the shrinkage
and the shrinkage defects were eliminated effectively through adjusting the solidification sequence.The average tensile strength
yield strength
elongation and Brinell hardness of the castings reach 510 MPa
424 MPa
8.1% and 131 HBS
respectively
after the T5 heat treatment
which meets the HB962-2005Ⅱtechnical indicators.
