In the die casting process of aluminum alloy parts
its quality is affected greatly by mold temperature.Compared with small and simple structure
the quality of large and complex parts is more sensitive to the change of mold temperature.The casting defects such as gas hole and shrinkage porosity is largely related with the unreasonable mold temperature gradient.In die casting production cycle
reasonable temperature range should realize the heat balance of mold emitted and absorbed to reduce the thermal stress of die effectively
which could be helpful to improve the sequence solidification condition of castings
thus improving the casting quality and production efficiency
and increasing the service life of the die.Taking the mold of an automobile clutch shell as an example
the CAE simulation analysis was used to understand the law of the mold temperature change during the die casting process
which provided a reference for the die casting industry.
