The forgeability of copper and copper alloys were analyzed by hot die forging experiments.The current evaluation method of copper alloy’s forgeability was summarized
and a more reliable evaluation standard of copper alloys’ forgeability was proposed.On the basis of the high temperature tensile test of three kinds of copper alloy
the forging behavior of Cu alloy was analyzed
and a new and more reliable evaluation system of the logarithmic copper alloy was proposed.The results reveal that the forging temperature range of different copper alloys can be obtained by using die forging to analyze the cracking conditions at different temperatures
and the relative ductility of different Cu alloys can be presented by comparing deformation of the copper alloys at the optimum forging temperature.The results were compared with the existing conclusions
and the accuracy and advantages of the evaluation method proposed for the forging behavior of the copper alloy were verified by the hot die forging.
