The cooling stave with elliptic water pipes was produced by lost foam casting(LFC)and experimented by thermal test
and influence of furnace gas temperature and water velocity were analyzed.The thermal properties of the round water pipes and elliptic water pipes of cast iron cooling stave were analyzed comparatively
and based on the heat transferring theory
the coefficient of heat transfer between cast iron cooling stave and furnace gas was calculated.Finally
the numerical simulation was verified by experimental results.The results show that the gas temperature has great influence on temperature of stave body
and at the same furnace gas temperature and water condition
the heat transfer performance of cooling stave with elliptic water pipes is superior to that of the round water pipes ones.In addition
numerical simulation calculation is well agreement with thermal test ones.
