Abstract
A stainless steel FeCrMoAlWCu with the higher Mo contents and lower Al contents than the conventional Fe-Cr-Al-Mo steels was developed by evaluating its structural stability
corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance as well as mechanical properties.The results show that a stable BCC structure can be observed in the stainless steel.The steel exhibits the satisfied corrosion resistance in 3.5%NaCl solution
and the pitting corrosion potential is about 0.915 Vat 25 ℃
which is equivalent with that of 00Cr26Ni6Mo4 CuTi.The Fe65.6Cr23.6Mo5.3Al2.7W2Cu0.8steel exhibits excellent oxidation resistance in air at 1 100℃
and its weight increase per unit area is about 0.428 4g/m
