Ceramic materials have been extensively used in armor applications due to their desirable properties
such as high hardness
high strength
high toughness and low density.Based on the results of the dynamic impact behavior and failure mechanism
dynamic fracture and failure processes under different stress state as well as the dynamic mechanical behavior were approached.Meanwhile
the stressstrain relation was analyzed
and some methods of testing dynamic fracture toughness were described briefly.In addition
the development direction of dynamic fracture of ceramic was expounded.
