/Al composites were investigated.The results show that the distribution of M40 fiber reunited in the matrix tends to be more uniform

while the relative density is increased firstly and then decreased

the tensile strength of the composites is decreased with the increase of fiber preheating temperature.The high interface strength induced by excessive interfacial reaction at high fiber preheating temperature may damage the fiber strength as well as leading to brittle fracture during the tensile loading process.
